michel1972 Geplaatst September 2, 2008 Rapporteren Share Geplaatst September 2, 2008 (bewerkt) Nieuwe Slip Yoke Eliminator Kit (SYE) MEGA-Short for NP231 transfer case This kit has been designed to work with all Wranglers and XJ Cherokees with an electronic speedometer and a factory installed NP231-J transfer case. Any vehicle manufactured prior to 1992 will need to be retro fitted with an electronic speedometer. In other words: this SYE kit will not work with cable driven speedometers. The Jeep model NP231 transfer case has one glaring weak point, they use a slip yoke on the rear output shaft of the transfer case instead of having a fixed yoke and a driveshaft with slip splines. This design works fine on the street but once you have lifted your Jeep and installed bigger tires on it, the stress on the slip yoke or rear output shaft is often too much. This complete kit contains: Mega Short Output shaft Mega Short Output shaft housing with pre-installed seal, bearing and C-clip ring Output Yoke Magnetic Speed Sensor Output Yoke UNF flat washers Tome Ring with oiling holes Output Yoke UNF 12 point bolts Output Yoke retainer nut Speed Sensor retainer bolt with washer Fits the following Jeep vehicles with the NP231-J transfer case: 1992-2001 XJ Cherokee 1993-1998 ZJ Grand Cherokee 1992-1995 YJ Wrangler 1997-2006 TJ Wrangler Notes: - A CV equipped drive shaft will be required with this conversion kit. Your stock drive shaft can be modified to work or you will need to purchase an aftermarket CV equipped drive shaft - Some 1998 and older model Jeeps will have a different three wire connecter than what is supplied with this kit. If this is the case you will need to hard wire the leads to eliminate the connector all together.
