Van dit model werden er in het begin van de 60er jaren 66 gemaakt tot de ontwerper omkwam in een van zijn eigen modellen.

Dit model is door een bedrijf opnieuw in produktie genomen en die hebben het het exact weten te reproduceren en zijn ook weer te koop.

Het betreft hier dan ook eigenlijk geen replica en zijn ze ook met productie nummers gewoon doorgegaan waar ze in de sixties waren gebleven.

Als ik zie hoe die deuren erin hangen moeten ze nog veel leren.

Het kunnen niet allemaal hele mooie zijn. Ik persoonlijk vond het weer een hele stap voorruit op de toyo van Utah.

Als je hem nou ff raad dan zijn we er weer van af.

Hij is gebaseerd op een bekend klein autootje waar wel meer varianten op gebouwd zijn.

Breaking free of its Jaguar replica origins, Nostalgia Cars has launched this Mini-based kit! If that doesn't quite sound right, then you need to understand that this isn't just any Mini based creation, but an identical recreation of the wonderful Ogle Mini of the early sixties. This ultra rare special was only ever produced in turnkey form and of the 66 cars produced, it is thought just twenty-six remain.

The New Ogle SX1275 is as close to being an identical as is possible. Using a brand new Mini floor pan produced and strengthened by Nostalgia in accordance with the original Ogle design specification. A new fiberglass body shell is bonded to the strengthened structure to complete the assembly. The resulting monocoque is exceptionally rigid and is supplied to the customer in a grey primer gel-coat finish.

Further more the New Ogle SX 1275 GT has the full backing of Ogle Noor Design the original design company & Nick Ogle the late David Ogle’s son. We are also continuing chassis numbers from where Ogle left off. To sum up this is no replica this is the real deal & not merely a clone badged as something else.

The Ogle SX 1275 GT is a small car. But it’s a small car that looks great and goes well – a perfect combination of styling and cost efficient use of proven mechanical parts. A small car with numerous engine options. A small car that will give you real comfort and smooth quiet motoring in a very eye catching body shape. In replicating that dream, Nostalgia Cars has matched the beauty of line with current modern production practices. The reputation of the Mini mechanical components, in all its guises, is already well known. Floor pan assembly and body production is carried out with an attention to detail only available on individually hand crafted cars. As previously indicated, the Ogle 1275 GT is of monocoque construction using a newly manufactured fully strengthened Mini floor pan to which a body of hand laid GRP finished in gel coat primer is bonded prior to dispatch to the customer.

In replication, the New Ogle sx1275 GT floor pan is strengthened in such a way that it is indistinguishable from the original ‘Ogle’ design. The only exception being the inclusion, for safety reasons, of roll-cage mountings. This brand new floor pan is fully jigged and produced ‘in house’. A natural progression for the Company following many years of being involved in total mini body restoration for UK Concourse and the Japanese market.

Each new floor pan is built to take the later type ‘single bolt, dry’ front sub-frame. Corrosion protection is provided using Waxoil cavity injection. Finally etch primer and two pack enamel are applied to provide a lasting, durable finish.

The replica body which is hand laid by our expert GRP fabricators to the exact dimensions of the ‘Ogle’ design, is grafted onto the floor pan to complete the monocoque shell and again is indistinguishable from the original car.

For the self builder, the assembled monocoque shell, doors and bonnet are supplied in grey primer gel-coat for final preparation and painting.

This car is also available full assembled ready to drive away. From £20,000 on the road.

Gebouwd onder eigen naam in 1933 door een slechts 21 jarige Engelsman die zijn ervaring had opgedaan bij MG en Bentley.

Hij werd hierbij zowel financieel als met bouwhulp ondersteunt door zijn vriendengroep.

De 1.5 L twin cam 4 cilinder motor werd geleverd door een bedrijf dat bekend stond voor zijn vliegtuig motoren. Deze werd gekoppeld aan een handgeschakelde 4 bak en werd voorzien van een turbo waardoor er een topsnelheid van 100 miles p/h werd gehaald.

De carrosserie werd gebouwd door een van oorsprong Belgische coachbuilder die twee modellen (een twee en een vierzitter ) voor hem deed.

Van de tweezitter bouwde hij er 3 en van de vierzitter 4 waarna hij door financiele problemen moest stoppen.

Daarna werd hij werkzaam bij vliegtuig bouwer Bristol die toen net was begonnen met het produceren van auto's.
