www.jeepie.nl Geplaatst June 6, 2006 Rapporteren Share Geplaatst June 6, 2006 Stringent new emissions rules in effect for the 2007 model year have led to the cancellation of the Jeep Liberty Diesel. Chrysler Group announced today that it would drop the surprisingly strong seller from its lineup, only days after it announced it would add a Bluetec diesel version of the Grand Cherokee SUV to the lineup. Chrysler indicates that it hasn't developed a new diesel to replace that in the Liberty. The Grand Cherokee diesel comes from the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class diesel due this fall. It appears in the Grand Cherokee in early 2007. Jeep has sold more than 11,000 diesel Liberty SUVs.
